All graphic designers keep a close eye on these trends to keep up with the market. 3D and realism, for example, is gaining popularity. Thanks to different software it is becoming easier to create graphic 3D designs. To become even more creative, designers are increasingly mixing this trend with realism; for example by placing the illustration in a photo. Monotone designs are now 'boring'. Gradients have emerged in recent years to make the whole thing more playful and lively. Because the trend has been around for a number of years, we see that the way it is used is increasingly varied. It is no longer just two colors, but three or even more. The trend of typography and aligning elements has been going on for a few years. Now it continues even further. Full illustrations and even animations are created from thin lines. Line art is sleek and elegant, but can also come across as very playful.
